About Camp H-Town
Four Seasons Hotel Houston is bringing a summer camping experience unlike any other in the city to its gorgeous hotel with an urban oncology camp. Camp H-Town is a sleep away camp that provides children who have been touched by cancer with a true urban camping experience.
The urban oncology camp at Four Seasons Hotel Houston, a fun-filled five days conducted in partnership with The University of Texas MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital, provides kids ages 8-14 who are living with cancer (patients and siblings) a fun and safe camp setting at no financial cost to the campers’ families. The Hotel has converted an entire floor into a “campground” with bunk beds and camping gear, in which the campers stay four nights under the supervision of volunteers and medical staff from MD Anderson.
The inaugural camp in 2018, took on an “Into the Wild” theme, gave the campers an opportunity to enjoy activities both at the Hotel and at surrounding city attractions including a welcome gathering at the George R. Brown Convention Center, a private tour at Minute Maid Park, a day at the Downtown Aquarium, dinner and dance party at the House of Blues, lots of swimming, an art project with a renowned Houston artist, poolside campfire and movie at the Hotel, an adventure to the Houston Zoo, dinner at Ninfa’s on Navigation, yoga classes, catering by Pappasitos and more.
